US President Donald Trump has ordered the suspension of all military aid to Ukraine after an altercation with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, knowledgeable sources told Bloomberg and Fox News. According to Bloomberg’s senior Pentagon official, Washington is halting all current military supplies to Kyiv until Ukrainian authorities demonstrate a willingness to negotiate peace.
“President Trump has made it clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our assistance to make sure it is conducive to a solution,” a White House official told Fox News. He added, however, that this is “not a permanent cutoff of aid.
According to Bloomberg, Trump’s decision halted not only future shipments, but also those that are already on the way: on planes, ships or in the transit zone in Poland. We are talking about “critical munitions,” guided multiple rocket launchers and anti-tank weapons, the agency specifies.
