The second anti-Putin march in Berlin drew half as many participants as the first one

A Russian opposition march has been held in Berlin, with participants speaking out against Vladimir Putin’s unleashed war in Ukraine, political repression and tyranny. The action is timed to coincide with several tragic dates at once: the tenth anniversary of the murder of Boris Nemtsov, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the anniversary of the funeral of politician Alexei Navalny.

Both white and blue flags and Russian tricolors can be seen among the protesters. The marchers are chanting “No to war!”, “Russia will be free!”, “Putin is war!”, “Freedom to political prisoners!”.

According to estimates by Rain/Dozhd correspondents, the number of the action amounted to up to 1,000 people – about half as many as during the previous similar event in November 2024. Rains’s estimate is confirmed by a video from the Agency Project event, which shows hundreds of people.
