Baltic States not invited to Ukraine summit in London

The UK has not invited Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to the upcoming summit on Ukraine to be held in London on March 2. The decision has caused “serious discontent” on the part of the Baltic states, Sky News reported, citing a diplomatic source. “Russia and our society will clearly see that we have been betrayed not only by the US, but also by Britain and France,” the source said on condition of anonymity.

The source told the publication that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer planned to hold telephone talks with the leaders of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, but said this would not make up for their absence from the summit. “We are extremely dissatisfied that the leaders of the Baltic states were not invited,” he emphasized.
