Azerbaijan expels Kremlin news agency Rossiya Segodnya from the country

Azerbaijan has confirmed the liquidation of the branch of the Russian propaganda news agency Sputnik, which is part of the Rossiya Segodnya media group. Aikhan Hajizadeh, a representative of the country’s Foreign Ministry, told this to Report.

According to him, the company will be given the opportunity to get accreditation for only one correspondent in Azerbaijan. Earlier Caliber reported that the remaining employee will work in the country on the basis of the laws of the republic and the agreement between the governments of the two countries of January 9, 2001 on the status of media correspondents.
