Putin praised Trump for his ability to “bring order” and called him a “master”

Vladimir Putin once again complimented US President Donald Trump. He noted the American leader’s persistence in promoting his own interests and his ability to get anyone to do what he wants. Putin cited Trump’s interactions with European politicians as an example. According to the Russian “president,” there is now “some fiddling” going on between them: they “don’t like” Trump, unlike the “mentally” close Joe Biden, so they “actively fought” against him, including allegedly “really interfering” in the election process. “But I assure you, Trump with his character, with his persistence will put things in order quite quickly, and they will all stand at the master’s feet and wave their tails gently,” Putin said in an interview with VGTRK correspondent Pavel Zarubin.

He added that Trump has “different ideas about what is good and what is bad, including in gender politics,” which is why Europe was “confused” when the Republican won the election, although they had previously “gladly carried out any order” from Washington. However, Trump will soon make “everything fall into place,” Putin assured.

He also said that, in his opinion, there are almost no outstanding political figures left in Europe like the leaders of the past: Charles de Gaulle, Jacques Chirac and François Mitterrand in France, Willy Brandt, Helmut Kohl and Gerhard Schroeder in Germany. “Sometimes you even look with amazement at what’s going on. Some people who have no education and are clearly engaged in something they have never done in their lives… It’s a misfortune, a mere political minnow,” Putin said.  As for himself, he said that in his youth, being a lawyer by training, he worked as a carpenter, cab driver, logger and played the accordion.
