Trump took the oath and assumed the office of President of the US

Donald Trump officially took office as the 47th President of the United States, taking the oath of office in a solemn ceremony. In accordance with the US Constitution, Joe Biden’s presidential term ended at exactly 12:00 noon Washington time, at which point the powers of the head of state passed to Trump.
