Russia fired 113 drones at Ukrainian territory

On the night of December 21, Russian foces launched a large-scale strike on Ukraine, launching a S-400 missile and 113 drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 57 of the total number of drones were shot down and another 56 were locationally lost.

The drones were launched from various directions, including Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Berdyansk. The S-400 anti-aircraft guided missile was fired from the territory of the occupied part of Donetsk region.

The shooting down of drones was confirmed in 11 regions of Ukraine: Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhya. In Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya regions, debris from downed UAVs damaged private and apartment buildings. Casualties are reported, but the exact number has not yet been named.
