Moscow blasts general who accused U.S. of creating ‘combat mosquitoes’ for Ukraine

On the morning of December 17, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense (RCBZ) troops of the Russian Armed Forces, was killed in an explosion on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow, Baza, Shot and Mash reported. His driver was killed along with him.

As reported to TASS in operational services, the explosion occurred at Ryazansky Prospekt, d. 2/1. According to Baza, an improvised explosive device could have been attached to the handlebars of a scooter, which stood at the entrance of a residential building. The blast wave in the house from the first to the fourth floor blew out the windows and ripped out the door of the entrance. Three cars standing nearby were also damaged.

The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case and appointed a medical and explosion examination. “The progress and results of the investigation of the criminal case opened on this fact are under control,” the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office said.
