France to supply Ukraine with kamikaze drones

France has successfully tested the first remote-controlled munitions, also known as kamikaze drones, Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on October 16.

He said the French defense industry has mastered this “key segment” of weapons in less than two years.

“Deliveries to Ukraine and our troops will begin in the coming weeks,” the minister said.

Lecornu announced the other day that France will provide Ukraine with its Mirage-2000 fighter jets in early 2025. The planes will be equipped with new technology – missiles for air combat and defense against electronic warfare.
