Russian missile strike on Mykolaiv: number of victims increased

The number of victims of the Russian missile strike on Mykolaiv has increased to 23, the head of the regional military administration Vitaliy Kim said.

Earlier, 16 people were reported injured.

“As of now, the number of wounded has increased to 23. People continue to go to medical institutions,” he wrote in a telegram.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian troops fired seven S-300/400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from occupied Crimea at Mykolaiv overnight. Local authorities reported that a woman was killed and 16 people were injured in the shelling. The shelling also damaged an infrastructure facility, a restaurant complex, trade pavilions, residential buildings, and cars.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons, including strike drones, missiles, and MLRS.

Russia’s leadership denies that the Russian army, during a full-scale war, has been conducting targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
