US presidential contender Donald Trump has said that if elected, he will end US involvement in the war in Ukraine, Reuters reports. Trump said at a campaign event in the state of Georgia.
“Biden and Kamala got us into this war in Ukraine and now they can’t get us out. They can’t get us out of there,” the agency quoted the former president as saying.
“I think we’re bogged down in this war unless I become president. I’m going to deal with it. I’ll get negotiations, I’ll get out. We’ve got to get out of there. Biden says we’re not leaving until we win. What happens if they win?” – Trump continued.
The U.S. is Ukraine’s main ally, and supplies of arms and other aid are critical for Kyiv.
