The head of the Bryansk region reported fighting on the border with Ukraine

On August 21, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to enter the Klimovo district of the Bryansk region, the head of the region, Aleksandr Bogomaz, said.

According to him, the attempt was prevented in the course of the battle. “Currently, the situation at the site of the fighting has been stabilized and is under the control of the regional operational headquarters,” Bogomaz claims.

Earlier about the fighting in the Klimovo district reported pro-war bloggers. Telegram channel Two Majors wrote that a small group of saboteurs without field artillery was operating on the border.

The district center of Klimovo is 12 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

According to the Mash TV channel, the Ukrainian military tried to enter Russian territory near the Zabrama settlement. Now the entrance to the Klimovo district is blocked by roadblocks.

The Ukrainian side did not comment on these reports.

On August 6, the Ukrainian army entered the territory of the Kursk region. Since then, fighting has been going on there. The Ukrainian side claims that dozens of settlements and about one thousand square kilometers of the Russian territory are under the control of the AFU.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claims that the goal of Ukrainian troops is to create a “buffer zone” on Russian territory.

According to the latest data cited by TASS with reference to medical services, 31 people were killed as a result of the AFU offensive in the Kursk region. 143 people were injured. 79 wounded, including four children, have been taken to hospitals.
