Two ferries – a road ferry and a railway ferry – were damaged as a result of Ukraine’s attack on the transportation infrastructure of the city of Kerch, the transportation minister of annexed Crimea, Nikolai Lukashenko, has said.
He said that in the course of repelling the attack, debris from downed missiles fell on the ferries and damaged the glazing of the superstructures. “There are no casualties among sailors and civilians. After assessing the damage, the work of the ferry crossing will be resumed”,said Lukashenko.
On the night of May 30, Kerch residents heard about 20 explosions in the city, writes the Astra telegram channel. However, the Ukrainian TV channel Suspilne, also citing local residents, reports six explosions. During the attack, traffic on the Crimean bridge was halted for about an hour.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in its summary that the air defense forces on duty destroyed eight Ukrainian ATACMS missiles over the waters of the Sea of Azov, as well as intercepted eight drones over the Black Sea near the Crimean coast. In addition, two uncrewed boats traveling in the direction of Crimea were destroyed in the waters of the sea, the Russian military ministry said.
At the same time, the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said that at night, Magura V5 marine drones hit two Russian boats, presumably of the KS-701 Tuna type, near the village of Chornomorske in the Yevpatoriya district. The GSD published a video as proof of the successful operation.
In turn, Russian troops on the night of May 30 struck military facilities and critical infrastructure of Ukraine, the commander of the Air Force of the AFU, Mykola Oleshchuk, said. According to him, the Russian Armed Forces used 11 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, eight missiles that were fired from S-300/S-400 complexes, as well as 32 Shahed-131/136 attack drones. According to Oleshchuk, seven cruise missiles and 32 drones were shot down.
The main target of the Russian attack was Starokonstantinov in Khmelnitsky region. Kharkiv also came under attack. It is known about seven casualties in the city. According to regional authorities, residential houses and a gas infrastructure facility were damaged.
