Lukashenko says Russia has virtually no allies

Dozens of countries are helping Ukraine in its war with Russia, while only Belarus is openly assisting Russia, “Belarusian President” Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with propagandist Diana Panchenko.

According to Lukashenko, a few days before the invasion of Ukraine, Putin turned to him for support and asked him to “cover” if “suddenly something happens”. “We will always help Russia – these are our allies”, he assured, drawing attention to the fact that Moscow has no others.

“And combat alignment, and training, and ammunition, weapons, and so on – 55 countries are helping you (Ukraine. – TMT). But only Belarus helps Russia so openly,” said Lukashenko. At the same time, Belarus, according to him, will never participate in a “hot war” unless the Ukrainians “overstep the border”.

He added that Belarus is called a “coaggressor” in the West, but it has “interests in Ukraine and the border with it”. “And our position should be heard”, Lukashenko said. – Therefore, I do not rule out that Belarus is obliged, should be involved in the negotiation process”.
