Russia is likely to continue destroying Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities in winter, but now Ukraine is preparing for such a development. This is stated in the daily intelligence summary of the UK.
“Last winter Ukraine demonstrated that it has the skilled manpower and experience necessary to operate and maintain the energy system even under military conditions.
Ukraine has effectively mobilized its coal industry to maintain production, ensuring a continuous supply of coal for thermal power plants and heating plants during the winter, with significant gas reserves as an additional reserve”, the daily review said in the British Defense Ministry’s account.
The intelligence service also says that despite the dire situation related to the war, Ukraine will be able to secure sufficient fuel supplies during the winter period.
