The Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced the prevention of “preparation of the murder” of RT chief Margarita Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak, which was allegedly being prepared by Ukrainian special services. This is reported by TASS.
According to law enforcers, the assassination attempt was prepared through neo-Nazis of the Paragraph-88 group, who conducted reconnaissance “at the addresses of work and residence of the targets”. The agency claims that they confessed to preparing the assassination attempt “on the SBU’s assignment” for a reward of 1.5 million rubles “for each murder”.
The detainees were confiscated a Kalashnikov assault rifle with ammunition, rubber truncheons, knives, brass knuckles, as well as communication equipment and computers with information “confirming criminal intentions”.
