Belarusian Defense Ministry reported about the arrival of mercenaries of Wagner PMC in Mahiliou region. According to the agency, they are at the training ground near Osipovichi and conduct training of the Belarusian territorial defense forces.
The Defense Ministry’s Telegram channel says that the Belarusian servicemen “master the skills of movement on the battlefield and tactical shooting, get knowledge of engineering training and tactical medicine”. “The instructors in a number of military disciplines were the fighters of Wagner PMC”, the report says.
The department also said that together with the PMC leadership a roadmap “for the near future on training and transfer of experience between units of different branches of the army” was worked out.
It’s not specified how many PMC mercenaries are in Mahiliou region. According to the monitoring group “Belaruski Gayun”, about 200 Wagnerites came to the republic.
Belarusian service of Radio Liberty reported about the construction of a tent camp on the territory of the abandoned military unit near Osipovichi, based on the analysis of satellite images. The journalists counted more than 300 field tents, each of which can accommodate from 20 to 50 people.
