Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday in Vilnius, “on the margins” of the NATO summit, and announced after the meeting that Macron had promised to give Ukraine demining equipment.
“Informed about the situation on the battlefield now. Discussed further defense support. Thanked again for each unit of weapons, and especially for long-range weapons. There will be and additional engineering equipment for demining,” – wrote Zelensky on Twitter.
France announced this week that it would give Ukraine SCALP cruise missiles, a French analog of the Storm Shadow missiles that Britain has already given Ukraine.
