Ukrainian forces have taken the main dominant heights around Bakhmut and have been holding the fortress city under fire control for several days. This was reported by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar in Telegram.
“In Bakhmut for several days our defenders have already kept under fire control the entrances, exits and movements of the enemy around the city. This has become possible due to the fact that in the process of advancing our troops took control of the main dominant heights around Bakhmut”, – she wrote.
Russian forces deny losing the heights.
Ramzan Kadyrov said that special units from Chechnya had been sent to Bakhmut.
