ZNPP lost power from main external transmission line

Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant last night lost power from the main 750 kV external transmission line.

This was reported by Energodar Mayor Dmitry Orlov.

“Temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant on July 4 at 01:21 has lost power from the main external power line, voltage 750 kV,” – he said.

ZNPP had to switch to the only available backup 330 kV line, which was repaired and reconnected to the plant only on July 1. The line was damaged four months ago.
