Law enforcers have come with searches to the associates of former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the law enforcement agencies.
In particular, the search came to the apartment of the opposition politician and associate professor of the MSU Mikhail Lobanov. Lobanov wrote on Telegram at 6:33 am: “Woke up. They’re breaking down our door”. Tatyana Okushko, a lawyer from IAB-Info, went to Lobanov’s apartment and was not allowed in.
Telegram channel “112” states that searches are conducted in five regions. In addition to Lobanov, searches came to members of the “Yabloko” party Galina Filchenko and Mikhail Khananashvili.
The search operation was carried out against people who attended sessions of the Congress of People’s Deputies, declared an “undesirable” organization by the Prosecutor General’s Office in April. The Congress positions itself as “the Russian parliament in transition after the fall of the Putin regime”.
