There is a vulnerability in Telegram, which allows by introducing additional code in the program to gain access to the user’s camera and microphone without his knowledge. This was reported by the messenger administration.
This vulnerability is available only to those who have malicious software with super user rights installed on their Apple-branded computers (they allow to remove restrictions on interacting with the operating system). The problem only affects apps downloaded to MacOS from the App Store.
The Telegram update is currently under review, the messenger administration added.
