NATO Military Committee Chairman Rob Bauer said at a press conference on the evening of May 10 following the meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of the armed forces of the alliance countries that “NATO is not working on military plans against China. We are working on military plans against Russia and terrorist groups”, reported Kommersant.
UNIAN quoted Deutsche Welle on Telegram as saying that the situation for the Russian army in Ukraine is becoming more and more complicated.
Moscow “is in its 15th month of war”, which Russia believed “will last three days”. Bauer noted, “Goliath is wobbling. Because David, supported by 50 countries, has demonstrated tremendous fortitude and tactical prowess”.
Rob Bauer is a lieutenant admiral in the Royal Netherlands Navy who has served as chairman of the NATO Military Committee since June 2021. He previously served as chief of defense of the Dutch Armed Forces from October 2017 to April 2021 and deputy chief of defense from September 1, 2015 to July 13, 2017.
