FRF statement on the new shelling of Ukraine and, in particular, the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv
Today the Russian military committed yet another war crime. Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities were subjected to rocket fire. The strikes hit residential buildings and the children’s hospital Okhmatdyt. The exact number of casualties is not yet known.
We have repeatedly stated that Putin’s regime is criminal, and criminal in the truest sense of the word. Russia is ruled by a gang of bandits, who first seized power in the country and then began to terrorize its neighbors. And for more than two years this gang has been committing unpunished war crimes against Ukraine and Ukrainians. And once again, the victims of these crimes are children.
While pro-Putin pseudo-peacemakers are shuttling between Kyiv, Moscow and Beijing, hypocritically calling for an immediate ceasefire, Putin is quietly preparing and carrying out more and more war crimes.
We have always maintained that negotiations with the gang of thugs sitting in the Kremlin are pointless. A lasting peace cannot be achieved as long as Putin rules Russia. This war can only end with the defeat of one side. Either Putin will lose, or Ukraine will lose, and with it the entire Free World. We want Putin to lose.
If the Free World wants to protect Ukraine and achieve a lasting peace, it will have to do everything it can to defeat Putin militarily.
We call on all countries in the Free World to put aside all doubts and give Ukraine all the support it needs to win. Ukraine must be given long-range missiles. It must be allowed to strike military targets on Russian territory without restrictions. And to protect its own civilian population, especially children, Ukraine should receive sufficient quantities of the most modern air defense equipment. NATO countries should also consider closing the skies over Ukraine, a measure that the Ukrainians have been asking for since the beginning of the war.
We appeal to our compatriots. You yourselves can do a great deal to stop Putinism and the crimes it is committing. Support Ukraine in its struggle, support the Ukrainian armed forces and the Russian volunteers fighting with weapons in their hands against the Putin regime. Finally, join the ranks of Russian volunteer units defending Ukraine. Everyone can make a contribution to our goal: victory for Ukraine, freedom for Russia.
